Sharon Church Ministry to Schools
For 13 years Pastor Mathew Bartlett has visited local schools taking assemblies and lessons. Thousands of children, who never attend church in their lives, have the opportunity to learn about the Bible & the life of Jesus. These visits are always well received and we maintain good relationships in the community.
Pastor Mathew brings the stories of the Bible to life in exciting and relevant ways to hundreds of school children each week. He says, "I now have a "Sunday School class" in day school with about two hundred children present every week!"
"The children really engage with the topic - they love to hear about the Bible. Gone are the days of telling children what they should believe - the kids have quick minds of their own - they ask very challenging questions, and over time show a good understanding of the Christian faith, the teachings of Jesus and how these influence believers' lives today."
